Certified true copies

Many applications ask for a certified true copy instead of the original: a photocopy that a notary public or Justice of the Peace has compared with the original and certified as a true copy.

We prepare certified copies that match the wording the receiving authority expects, and can add a translation or an apostille so the copy is accepted abroad.

Typical documents

  • Passports and national ID
  • Diplomas, degrees and transcripts
  • Birth and marriage certificates
  • Company documents
  • Bank statements and utility bills
  • Professional licences

Common questions

Who certifies the copy?

A notary public or a Justice of the Peace, depending on what the receiving authority accepts. For use abroad a notary is usually preferred because the signature can then be apostilled.

Do you need my original document?

Yes, the certifier must see the original. We will arrange a convenient way to present it and return it to you.
